What can I do with this service?
For Application Capabilities Review: If you are interested in get to know the application capabilities of OpenACS, including its set of applications such as .LRN,
you will be able to use the system for testing purposes, explore the
applications, customize layout, etc. Also, you might consider run a
real and temporal community or online class using the OpenACS toolkit.For Developers: oacsrocks if you are interested in get to know the OpenACS
framework, try to modify something, have a place to easy test to do
some web development and customizations. Also you can upgrade packages,
add new ones, create new ones, check the datamodel and modify it, go
ahead. If you screw your installation, no problem, reinstall it.
- I get some blank pages when I click, if I reload then it works, what is wrong?
This is an inherent problem of our proxy under the configuration we use, we are working towards solve this problem. It is known to happen more often in IE, while Firefox or others usually not happen.

How can I reinstall my service?
If you have a problem with your site, or made some changes you simply dont like, you can reinstall everything and revert it to the same state it was when you first created it.To reinstall your service, log in to your oacsrocks.org account and follow the link that says: "Reinstall Your Service"Note that this will erase every change in your database and files, be sure to backup anything you want to preserve.

Log in to your oacsrocks.org account and follow the link named "Change my Password" under the Edit Options section. To access your site browse to: http://your_username.oacsrocks.org, and login using the same
email and password you specified at moment of registering.

How can I access my server ssh account?
To access your server account trough ssh you can do it by running this command in a unix shell:
ssh your_username@oacsrocks.orgOr if you are using an emulator like putty. point it to oacsrocks.org on port 22, and log in using your username and password.The username and password are the same as the ones you used when created the account and are used to login to your webservice

My server is down, how can I restart it?
You can restart your server in one of these two ways:
Log in to your oacsrocks.org and you will see a link that says
“Restart your service”, if your server is down it will start it, if
your service is already running it will restart it.Log in to your account trough ssh, and run the command “oacs start”

Why is my server down?
We have the policy that every nigth all servers not accessed in 72
hours or more will be shutdown. You can restart your server anytime by
login to your
oacsrocks.org account and following the “Restart your service” link.

You can get the latest news and announcements in the OACSrocks weblog. In fact, when you registered to OACSRocks,
you also got automatically suscribed.

How can I unsuscribe from the OACSRocks blog?
You can do this in the 2 ways:
Follow the link at the bottom of any notification you may get, to notification manager and then
select unsuscribe from the Notification entry for the blog.
Go directly to the blog, http://oacsrocks.org/blog, and search for the link to unsubscribe from the notifications section.
- When will be my account deleted?
If your account is not accessed in 90 days or more, your account will be deleted. You will have the option to recreate your account from scratch.
